* John T. Brainard Award. This award is given in memory of John T. Brainard, NSSA #163. John's first love was skeet shooting. As a member of the Hartford Gun Club, he gave his time, energy and knowledge to represent his club. He dedicated himself to preserving the game of skeet at the state and national level. He willingly offered his help and assisted other clubs in the state to make their shoots successful. He would often be seen working at the scoreboard, classification table or arguing over rules, since he knew them by heart and always had a rule book.
This award is to honor those people who have shown outstanding service over the years by giving of themselves, their time and their dedication for the betterment of skeet.
